University of Illinois undergraduate degree students on the Urbana-Champaign campus

If you are admitted to an on-campus degree program on the University of Illinois' Urbana-Champaign campus, you fall into this category.

When to register: Please consult your University time ticket for your registration date. 

You will register online using the Student Self-Service website. Procedures to add or drop a course for the summer are the same as for the spring and fall terms. Questions on Financial Matters concerning tuition and fees, refunds and withdrawals or other related topics should be directed to the Office of the Registrar. For financial aid questions, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid. Contact your College for help with withdrawal or cancellation policies and procedures.

Nondegree students

These are students who are not currently admitted into a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign degree program on the Urbana-Champaign campus of the University of Illinois, or into an online degree program offered through the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL). Note: University of Illinois degree-seeking students at the Chicago and Springfield campuses are also considered nondegree students on the Urbana-Champaign campus.

When to register: CITL nondegree registration for summer opens Wednesday, April 10th.

For all students: Self-paced courses

Self-paced online courses are open enrollment courses and are offered by CITL throughout the year, summer included. You may register at any time during the year and have six months to complete the course. Registration for all students (degree or nondegree) is through the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL). Self-paced online courses do not count toward full-time status and are not eligible for financial aid. Please contact CITL with all questions regarding registration, financial matters, policies and procedures.
