Self-Paced Courses

Tuition

The per credit hour charge for self-paced courses is $358. This amount includes tuition of $308 and a nonrefundable administrative fee of $50 per credit hour. A nonrefundable instructional support and materials fee of $50 per course is also required.

Payment

Payment for tuition and fees must be included with your online enrollment form. OCE accepts both e-Check and credit card payments online through the University of Illinois I-Pay payment system. An e-Check is an electronic withdrawal from a checking or savings account at a domestic (U.S.) bank account. Credit cards accepted for payment are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

This information does not apply to NetMath or Math Teacher Link courses. For tuition and payment information about those courses, please visit their websites:

NetMath website: netmath.illinois.edu

Math Teacher Link website: mtl.math.uiuc.edu

Note: U of I students cannot charge the tuition and fees for self-paced courses to their student account. Registration will not be processed until our office receives your payment in full. You will receive a full credit refund if you are not approved by your college to enroll in a self-paced course section.

Tuition and fees schedules are subject to change.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

You may not use University of Illinois financial aid to pay for self-paced courses. Federal policy excludes credit hours in continuous enrollment courses from being counted toward financial aid. The hours are also not counted toward your part or full-time status on campus. Some scholarships will pay for these courses. If you are enrolled in a degree program at another University and are currently receiving financial aid or scholarship, consult with your financial aid office. Your institution may be willing to reimburse you for enrollment in self-paced courses.
